20th Anniversary of the Nursery Days

09 June 2016
Bingerden celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the International Nursery Days.

Since 1996, every June Bingerden opens the gates to the public for BINGERDEN’S INTERNATIONAL NURSERY DAYS, a plant festival that attracts many visitors over three days, who come to see and buy from specialist nurseries from all over Europe.

In the video garden lovers and professionals talk about the high quality and variety of the plants and what Bingerden means to them. The first is Janine ten Horn, who has designed several borders in the gardens of Bingerden: 'Bingerden is a green pilgrimage, which you can't miss'. Next Jacqueline van der Kloet, internationally famous for her designs using flower bulbs: 'There's nothing similar like this in the Netherlands'. Ward van Teylingen, former breeder, finds Bingerden the podium for plantsmen to show their special plants. Aty Luitze, former editor-in-chief of Seasons and Home and Garden is besides the plants enthusiastic about the food stalls at the plant show. Which is fortunate as this year there will be a Food Festival next to the kitchen garden with even more to taste. Several visitors of Bingerden say that 'once you've been at the Nursery Days, you'll definitely return'. A huge compliment!

Many thanks to all the contributors in the video and Maxime van der Maesen of Maximages for the camerawork and editing.
